Ouch.. i order stuff from newegg ALOT.. never had to call CS, but hearing this kinda scares me. I buy stuff at least once a month from them....

I know tankguys have great CS, anyone know about monarch?

BTW.. i foudn eVGA e-mail CS to be very good too. i am a devoted eVGA man now because of the great CS support they have.

Monarch sucks. More than Screwegg does. It takes them a week to ship out my orders, even when I pay extra for 2nd day shipping, and one of my combo motherboard/cpu orders they shipped me a "pre-tested" combo that didn't work because it had an out of date bios that couldn't recognize my CPU correctly. PITA having to find a floppy and flash it instead of just popping it into my rig and working.

So I got a phone call from newegg today, and will have to call them tomorrow during their hours of operation.

Also take note, the PCi-E x16 model is not available anymore.

Curious.

I find it hard to believe you work with newegg as you only have 2 posts here.

And even if you are, I recieved MUCH better help from eVGA.

He DOES work for Newegg... I've communicated with him via e-mail regarding a problem with a 19 inch Viewsonic moniter that was damaged by UPS & he took care of me right away, ... I believe if you call Newegg & dial extension #2050 you'll get him.

Also if you take a look at Resellerratings.com under the Newegg store reviews you'll notice
he responds to the dissastified customers all the time, next time don't jump to conclusions!

I am not jumping to conclusions, I stated that I find it hard to believe, as this IS the internet. And someone just jumping out of the blue and doing this checking forums and such.

I asked them to send me an email and so far I have recieved nothing, so I'll wait for him to send me that email.

And I do read resellerratings.com

Sorry, didn't mean to jump down your throat there & your quite right to be skeptical of people making claims on an internet forum, its just that Jason does work for Newegg & folks from that site do read AT... take a look at the Newegg store page on resellerratings & you'll see my post regarding the issue I had with my daughters moniter as well as his response.
Good luck & I hope you get your problem resolved.

I contacted him today after recieving his email/and a phone call.

He is going to call Evga and make sure that they ship me a new card.

And they will give me an undisclosed numeric rebate off a next purchse.

According to EVGA_WShelley, you are right. But if I were to buy an eVGA, I would copy and paste that somewhere to be sure. Because thier official stance is "lifetime of the retail product". Until they change that in the legal document (the lifetime warranty page) I'm going to be sceptical. LMK how it turns out for you.

call newegg and send it back

thats the only thing i would even consider doing....what you got clearly isnt a new card. therefore you did not get what you payed for. give em a call and work something out. if anything they should handle all the shipping charges since its their fault in the first place.

My Evga 6800nu died after 14 months and evga replaced it with any questions about if it was ever Overclocked or anything like that(i had a NV5 on it.But i saved the reference cooler)..And newegg i can not imagine them sending you a used card unless one of the workers switched cards with you.Say he bought one and it didnt OC like he wanted it to so he switch his with your's but if that happens im sure newegg would fire him/her.Ive worked in many shipping departments and usally the worker who ships the package has to sign off on the package saying that he packaged it and inspected it and everything was in the order that needed to be there. So if a customer calls and complains that something was missing or the wrong thing was sent they can go right to that guy.So i cant see that happening to much.Unless you ordered a refurb.I know i orderd my 6800GS the frist day newegg had them in stock and mine came in a nice sealed box with all the parts that are show in the pictures on neweggs website.

blurredvision
If you call them or email them and explain that you feel that you shouldn't have to pay shipping or restock fee's newegg will reimburse you they did for me .They credited me $25 on a psu i sent back,Because i buy a lot of stuff from them(and they wanna keep us happy).Believe me a nice email will do wonders for you when it comes to newegg. When i bought my 6800nu there was no free gifts being offered at that time but a week later they were giving away a free newegg watch's with each nvidia video card that was bought so i emailed them and told them that i had just bought a 6800nu a week earlier and that id like to have a newegg watch since i just missed this by a week. And 3 days later i had a watch at my door. And for christmas this year they sent me 2 T-shirt's and 2 license plate frame's(they say--Id rather be Pimping my PC..lol kind of corny but i like it)..I love newegg .
