For my first post, I just wanted to say that a system with specs similar to mine is NOT slow at all, and is in fact fast enough for most people to be more than satisfied with - especially with a 6800GT for gaming. I just bought mine for about $200 on eBay to replace my 6800 128 MB unlocked 16/6 overclocked card. This was the right move, especially seeing as how the 6800GS AGP has turned out to be quite a disappointment.
I think the guy with the 3.5 ghz rig and Radeon 9800xt might just be angry that he spent so much money on an overpriced video card when he should have gone with a 9600xt/9800/9800 pro at the time and then upgraded to a 6600gt/6800/6800gt or a comparable card for better gaming during the past year or so. (And the total for those TWO cards would have been around the same price he paid for the 9800xt alone!)
This reminds me of when people with overpriced SCSI drives back in the day used to have similar attitudes, prompting me to come up with: "SCSI = Super Costly Sucker Interface", and "IDE = Inexpensive Direct Easy!"

Those snobs HATED that!
