I am looking at one final video card upgrade for my AGP system (Athlon XP 2600+, 1024MB RAM, 9600 PRO). I was planning to wait for an AGP version of the 7600GT, however it doesn't look like that's ever going to happen. Which of the following video cards would have the best performance in my current system.

XpertVision GF 6800GS 128MB 128-bit DDR3, AGP 8X Interface AU$195.00
XpertVision GF 6600GT 128MB 128-bit DDR3, AGP 8X Interface AU$195.00
XpertVision ATI Radeon X800GTO 256MB 256bit DDR3, AGP AU$205.00

Would I be better off saving a little longer and purchasing a full 6800GS for AU$310.00?

The 6600gt is much weaker than the other two cards, and should cost much less. It's basically a choice between the 6800gs and the x800gto. The 6800gs has a newer feature set, like SM3 and HDR support, however in some cases the card may lack the brute force to put them to good use. The gto is based on older technology, however they also overclock well if you're interested in that option.
