hey guys what is the differene in gaming, movies, regular browsing with the 3 cards above, i have the vanilla 6800, can someone give me the pros or cons of the gpu's above? thanks a lot
If you're upgrading and have a PCI-e motherboard, 7800gt is really the way to go right now. At $300-ish, it's a much better buy than the 6800 series now.
Browsing and movies are going to be the same. The 6800 ultra is slightly better than the gt, and about 2x as fast as the 6800. The le is the slowest of them all. If you have enough money though, a 7800gt is the best buy.
Would also advise you a 7800GT... eVGA sells them for $ 284 (after Mail-In Rebate), which is 0.99 bucks cheaper than a 6800GT... If you'd be in for a new card, this one's BIG bang for the buck;..
EDIT: Browsing and movies aren't a test to either of those GPU's... Gaming will differ a lot...
If you consider a 7800GT 100% (of course, all depends on which games you'll play, the resolution, FSAA and AF...), a 6800Ultra is 85%, a 6800GT 75-80%, 6800GS 75%, 6800 55-60% and 6800LE about (or less than) half the performance of that 7800GT... I know, it's actually too general, but those should be the approximate values...
