6800 GT for $319 at Buy.com?

Not that good of an alternative. Gameve is selling the PNY geforce 6800 for $269.

Well I got lucky and didn't have the tax. Like I said earlier though, I'll make them do something. You say they make a GT. So I can either force them to give me one or get a refund at the minimum, including shipping of course.

Jaton has been around for a long time. Most of their stuff is just reference, but they seem to make good stuff.

yeah, but thats a regular run of the mill 128MB 6800 NU, Asus has a $400 256MB 6800 NU and thats what I was speaking of

I got sent this card, and received a 6800 vanillia. I will be fighting this with them.. my order status still says it's a 6800gt. Do they have a damn phone number?

949-389-2000 is their # if anyone else got shafted. I can't get ahold of anyone as of yet... they take up to 5 weeks for returns to process so I really want a new card.

Thanks for the phone number. I will also be fighting with them. I haven't received the card but they say they are shipping a regular 6800 when my order says GT. They gonna have to do something of I got FCC. I think that's right isn't it?

2. Atorney Generals Office

3. FTC (Federal Trade Commision)

4. Contact them about the pending cases above. Report to the state that they are localized in, get their address / any names / phone number. Write up a brief summary of what happened with proof - Credit Card payments. Copy and paste, send to each group above.

I'll tell you what's happened to me so far. I bought it for like $309 with the 10% off thing. I got the automated invoice saying I got it. They charged my card. They sent email saying they shipped the Jaton 6800. I was pissed but not surprised. They sent it off to me. He's the great part. They refunded my money but the card is on it's way to me. It's currently sitting in Atlanta, GA in a FedEx building. I'll let you know if I actually get it tomorrow.

Just thought I'd have an update on this fake deal.

What did you say when you emailed/called them? Just asked for a refund?

I never asked them to cancel it. They actually recharged my account right after I posted here. I have recieved the card, a vanilla Jaton 6800. They will be hearing from me in like 1 min if I can email them or get a phone number. I haven't tried the ones here yet but I'm about to. I'll let y'all know what happens.

If worst comes to worst I can just sell the card on eBay for the price I bought it.

EDIT: Just called them and it appears that I may be getting a 6800 GT after I RMA this. I talked to this lady and she asked if I wanted a replacement 6800 GT, well duh of course I do. Not sure if I'll really get one but I'll definantly keep y'all in the loop.

There's a thread (started by me) at fatwallet. There is a guy who says he called them and RMA'd it. He also said they have free return shipping per a prepaid UPS label.

I received my order yesterday. I was a regular 6800 as expected. I'm going to ship it back with the prepaid label from RMA'ing it for a replacenment.

I've got another update for you people. As you may have already read I RMA'd the stupid vanilla 6800 they sent me. They got it in like yesterday or something I assume because I got an email from them today saying they shipped me a Jaton 6800 GT. Just thought I'd like to post the sucess I've had so far. I'll let you know if I actually get a GT this time.
