6800 AGP VIDEO CARD GT vs Ultra

The Ultra is faster but not fast enough to warrant an extra $100 from my pocket. Just about any brand should do fine, so look at warranty, support, and stock cooling solutions. BFG is my company of choice for Nvidia cards for their lifetime warranty and 24\7\365 toll free tech support based in the Chicago area.

BFG is a good manufacturer, and their cards come pre-overclocked and guaranteed stable at those speeds. Also consider eVGA, Leadtek, and some others. GTs will usually overclock effortlessly to Ultra speed and beyond (even if this doesn't happen, they're still not far behind), so don't even consider an Ultra.

FuturePowerPC.com has it for $407 with free shipping.

Monarchcomputer.com has it for $435 plus $7.70 shipping.

Anyone else?

I don't know what amol is saying. I have no problem with XFX so far. I contacted their tech support and they were helpful to me. And I think tech support is what everyone complains about.

FuturePowerPC has a relatively average reseller rating (7.35), but it's a good price and at least isn't from a no-name with a 4.5. Monarch's price is a bit steep considering you can get a nearly-equivalent eVGA for $388, about $45 less.

I will just get the BFG 6800 GT AGP for now. When prices of the PCI-E come down and are more widely available I will then make the switch.
