6600NU vs 6800 vs 6800GT vs X800XT PE vs 9800XT

The Nvidia cards are from inno3d. Which of these is the best bang for the buck? The 6600GT is PCI-E so I think I might have to wait for an AGP version to come out which will be $50 more expensive IF it comes out any time soon.

1. 6600NU PCI-E - $210

2. 6800NU (350/800) with cooler master cooling - $350

3. 6800GT $466

4. MSI X800XT PE - $566 (rediculuosly expensive! :/ )

5. MSI 9800XT - $320

And what is the percentage chance of unlocking 4 pipes in 6800NU and what speed difference will it make. Yes and this is a chineese (inno3d) manafacturer if that helps;

Unless people like shipping to Pakistan, i don't think Hot Deals is gonna help him out too much.

I'd say go for the 6800 GT, though if you are not a hardcore gamer, the 6800 NU is good as well.

Considering the prices you've provided, the best bang for the buck is 6600GT by far. It's not much slower than 6800 and easily keeps up with 6800 cards in HL2.

the prices for other cards are ridiculous. Hmmm...but since you cant get PCIe, this is a tough choice. Honestly $90 extra (210 for PCIe + say $50 bucks premium for AGP card) isnt worth it for 6800 card unless you were assured of unlocking the remaining 4 pipes. What resolution do you prefer to play at?

6600GT review
HL2 performance

Obviously 6800GT and X800XT are better, but looking at their price.....

the Inno3D looks like your best bet if those are prices to you shipped.

that card has nice core cooling and if unlocked has even more potential. It also should hold it's value pretty good for a while if you (relatively soon) decide to upgrade to an X800XT ... [which IMO is the best on your list by far].

intel mobos with PCI-E are avaiable....but the an ASUS mobo and 3.2GHZ processor in itself cost $400. Besides not much performance gain from a 2500+ @ 3200+ barton. I might go with A64 3200+ but no PCI-E there 🙁 And AMD is so much cheaper here. 6600GT AGP might arrive tentatively by christmas but then im sure they will be a tad more than the PCI-E version. And SLI - Do I need anything extra for SLI? 😛 Or just put two cards?

Resolution im looking forward to playing is 1280*1024. Full AA and high settings HL2. Currenty going up from a GF4 TI 4400

These are wholesale prices. Add $7 for retail.

Ill wait I guess....Ive waited for so long Ill wait some more 😛 ...I can order from the US but the prices arent significantly lower with shipping and all...And Id rather buy myself than ask someone else to get it for me. 🙂

basicly the difference between the 6800GT and 6800 that im getting is the memory and memory only if I unlock the 4 pipelines.
Worth $120 for 256MB DDR3 1GHZ against 128MB DDR 800MHZ?

Cores are the same. The NU has better "much" better cooling and prolly has more OC potential.

your know what u should do get a x800 pro and flash it to xt save some money but the x800 pro only comes in AGP and the card wont last as long
