i'm going to buy a 6600gt (pci express) and i was going to get the leadtek

i just noticed that it is open gl 1.5 and this evga is open gl 2.0 and basically the same price

i liked the leadtek because supposedly it had a quiet stock fan. is the evga a better buy because it is 2.0?

They are both actually the same. 2.0

Those descriptions online are not too reliable.

Cards have supported 2.0 for a while now.

ATI claimed 2.0 support for the 9700 series when it came out.

OpenGL version numbers are not necessarily reflective of the capabilities of the drivers anyway. The version numbers only indicate what is required, while extensions may be used to implement functionality.
