installed zalman copper vga cooler.
idle: 45C
load: 65C

i forgot what the temp was with the stock cooler, but the current temp seems rather high for an aftermarket cooler.

wow....suture you may want to invest in aftermarket cooling or declocking that. 61C idle is a little high. on my oclocked ati x800gto at load it becomes 70 (fan @ 78%) w/ idle at 43 (i adjusted the fan settings so that it would slow the fan significantly when it's idling otherwise I could probably idle around 35). what are your settings.

Mine idles at 37 when ambient temperature in the case is ~27. Load temperatures go up to ~76-78 when not overclocked, and about 80 when overclocked.

My Leadtek 6600GT with stock cooling idles at 38c and runs at 70c at load overclocked. I would cut a hole in that Dell case if I were you.

Please note that the 6600GT stock heatsink can be very loose leading to high temps. While this article talks about over-volting the Gainward 6600GT, they also point out the problem with its stock heatsink. My XFX 6600GT had the same problem. Idle temps in the 60s; load in the 90s. I reseated my heatsink and it now idles in the 40s; load in the 60s. It cost me nothing but a little time.

AGP runs hotter than PCIe because of bridge chip. My PCIe with Ceramique' and NV6 rev.2 idled@41-44c depending on room temp, 54c is the highest load temp I saw reported. Stock ideled 50-55c load 70-73c.
