I bought a new Leadtek A6600 6600GT AGP video card today. My system specs are:
Athlon XP 2500+
Asus A7N8X Deluxe
1GB Corsair XMS DDR400
Win2K Professional SP4
DirectX 9.0c
The 6600GT replaced an old Radeon 9600 card.
I've got the Dualview feature enabled. The primary display is a 19" monitor set at 1280x1024@75Hz, 32bit, and the secondary is a 17" monitor set at 1150x900@76Hz, 32bit.
Now, "regular" Windows operation works fine with the Dualview software set to use both monitors for one desktop space. However, when I try to run games or 3DMark05 or AquaMark3--I get what I think is a DirectX error message--something like "getdevicecaps failed" (sorry, am at work now and don't have specific wording). If I disable Dualview and use just one monitor, then everything--the games, benchmarks, etc.--works fine.
Any ideas as to how I can get both Dualview AND DirectX programs to work together? No such problems with the ATI Radeon software (which used its own Catalyst software for dual output), but of course the 6600GT is a big improvement over the 9600 card (3DMark05 score of 3243 vs. 1072 for the Radeon 9600).
Thanks in advance for any help!
