6600gt 256mb vs 6800 128mb

I have been looking at possible upgrade for my graphics card and i have been looking at the 6600gt 256mb 6600gt 256mb at newegg and the 6800 128mb 6800 128mb at newegg . I want to know what one would be the best for battlefield 2. would the 6600gt be better cause of the 256mb but i have not been able to find any benchmarks of this card anywhere so i dont know how well it performs in comparison the a regular 6600gt 128mb or a 6800 128mb. so any help will be great thanks.

the 6800 has a 256bit memory interface (or at least it should) while the 6600gt has a 128 bit interface, most people would say the interface is more important than the amount of memory (the 9800pro had a 256 bit), the 6800 should be somewhat faster and will do aa/af better, also generally cards that are normally 128 that have a 256mb variant, the 256mb variant memory clock speeds are lower, if your gaming at 1280x1024 or above, the 6800 will be better

6800 is an absolute no-brainer, particularly at that price, which amounts to stealing candy from a baby. IMHO.

6600GT has 8 pipes and that is the max, 4 vertex shaders (8x1, 4VP)
6800 has 12 pipes and 5 shaders, plus you can unlock another four pipes and an additional vertex shader for 16x1, 6VP, same as 6800GT and ultra, though you'll still have the DDR memory.

Throw a Zalman VF700-Cu on there and overclock the crap out of it. Plus it's just a darn good all-around cooler and those 6800 get pretty warm regardless.

6800nu+VF700-Cu+AS5 for >$200. Nice. That's what I paid for my 128mb 6600GT PCI-E three months ago.

Unlockable only on the AGP version though.
