Nice. What are your Forceware settings? What do people set in their Forceware control panel when they benchmark? Otherwise the score means nothing. I've wondered this for years. :frown: I was once told they ran it at high performance for "whatever reason", so my 6800NU (12pp,5vp) at highperf mipmap is 5201 with details in my sig. Pretty close unless you ran yours at quality mipmap.

stock cooling

score not high but oc is, with a pentium 4 530 @ stock

Howd u manage those clocks with stock cooling? Getting major artifacts?

BTW, for anyone wondering, these arent just benchmarks with no actual game performance, I play all current games at 1280x1024, max settings, 2-4xAA/8xAF at 40FPS or better.

Even UT2004 w/default setting at 1024x768 seems a little slow to me on my 6600GT (@580/1160).

what are ur other specs? I can max out all settings, 1280x1024 + 4xAA/8xAF and never drop below 40fps.

pc mark can be fiddled so many ways , you can never get a truely fair comparison, l get 7199 in pc 05 now with the new ati 5.7 drivers, with the old ones l got 6067, coding, its all iffy really, l dont trust any version of pc mark for absolute accuracy, and pc 03 was a bit of a joke, and the other thing lve seen COUNTLESS times is high scoring pc s that chug and lag ingame, a bench isnt everything, alot of coding in it, l run the pro version pc 05, lve tested it on so many pc s lve lost count, lve had identical pc s right down to the chips on the motherboard and the scores still fluxuate alot, wanna good games pc think , cpu, ram, vid card, hd , DONT use a benchmark to determine if its a good pc.

Yeah hmm...I get about a grand higher :p

But my card is at stock. One of these days I might OC it just to see how high I can get, but otherwise I always stay stock (no need to OC anyway).

I've only managed fractionally better with my system in SLI mode. Therein lies the problem.

Did you attempt to install a SLI system? I've been tearing what remains of my hair out due to crazy graphical corruptions. I've re-installed windows etc etc and short of taking an axe to it and telling my insurance company I made a horrible misake I'm out of ideas.

Any direction I can be pointed to?

Gigabyte K8N Ultra SLI Motherboard
AMD Althlon 64 3200+ Processor s939

Antec 500 Watt Smartpower 2 Power Supply
2 x BFG 6600 GT OC in SLI mode
NVidia 77.72 Drivers

ok i'm not even going to comment, those 6600's have some crazy GDDR3 modules on them and I have a feeling I'll be talking out of my ass when I want to say what I want to say.

I JUST upgraded a system. MSI NEO4 SLI, A64 3200+, 512MB OCZ Platinum 2-2-2-5 1T, 1 Gigabyte 6600GT with passive cooling, 21 USB ports (with hubs), 2 80GB WD drives, 1 Maxtor 120GB drive all PATA no raid, 4 Firewire, 2 Ethernet (100Mb PCI, 1000Mb on board), 1CD/RW Drive, 1 DVD Drive, 1 DVD/RW, 1 Zip Drive. Running ZoneAlarm Internet security suite in the background, and all normal services, etc. This is my everyday set up. No changes were made from when I start it each day. Heck, the office scheduler was even running. I did not re-install windows when I upgraded the MB, Video, Ram, and CPU. I just plugged everything in and re-started it.

Latest Forceware drivers, all stock settings on MB and G card, and drivers and I got 3670 in 05.

These cards seem to be pretty strong.
