6600 3dmark03 score

I put together a system for a friend who's going to do video editing and I decided to run 3dmark03 on the system to see what it would get and I was fairly impressed. The system is P4 3.2(prescott), 1GB pc3200, and a 6600. It got a score of 5200 on 3dmark03. For a "midrange" card I was surprised at the score.

Strange that your score is so low as my system specs are quite similar.
Well, 3DMock03 and 05 are GPU benchmarks, not system benchmarks.

Gratz, your $500 card beat his $150 card.

I wasn't boasting I was just saying... 🙁

thought his 6600 was more than $150, don't really follow nvidia anymore.

Anyway PROUD I AM, HL2 here I come...

Very similar to a stock 9800p in the same system . . . .

Its actually a bit slower than a stock 9800 because its running 128bit mem.

The GT has a decent advantage on the 9800p though for $200, these cards are looking like the new Ti4200s. Especially with SLI capability for PCI-E models.

Amazing how you score 1000 more points than most people w/ a 9800.

not unreasonable for a 256MB pro flashed to XT (or o/c'd to the max) . . . . my 9800xt got 6600 in 3d'03
(edit: looks like a typo for 3d-05)

and when i said the 9800p is "similar" to the 6600 . . .. i was "ballparking" . . .. yest the 9800p will beat the vanilla 6600 and fall behind the 6600GT . . . . 😉

I would expect the 6600 to get more than 5200 points with 3dmark03, even my old 5900xt can deliver 5221 points! 🙂
