BULK BEEF?
An appliance like a good coffeemaker/grinder/roaster/frenchpress would be nice. You could also spend it on clothes, groceries, or even a computer game... 😉

Now, why would he want something like that?

Coffee maker's a great idea- i hate the one we have! Any other suggestions? We're trying to eat healthier, so any appliance suggestions are great 🙂

That is why I also suggested the grinder/roaster as well. Even with a regular coffeemaker, the smell and taste of freshly roasted/ground beans for your coffee is MUCH better.
Hmm....kitchen appliances, huh? Do you guys have a crockpot and/or rice cooker? What about an outdoor grill?

She.. Actually suggested a crockpot, but I loathe the blandness of crockpottery (our old one broke from over use, literally).
Outdoor grill is something I wish I could have, but we're apartment dwellers..
Appliances we have:
Food processor (mediocre cuisinart, but does that job)
Blender (very good one)
Breadmaker
Stand up expensive but never used mixer
Crappy coffee maker
Good toaster oven
Rice cooker

If your crockpot cooking is bland, you may want to look at some newer recipes. Besides, some things like chili are best when slow-cooked.
Hmmm...how about regular cookware? If you are willing to care for them, cast iron is the way to go. You could go for an electric-style grill if you at least have a balcony, but those are really hit-or-miss as far as quality. How about some shelving/storage for your kitchen? Knives and/or a cutting board is really useful, especially when preparing vegetables/meats fresh. You also may want to look into a vegetable steamer as well...
