65 degrees in January

One week ago today the temps were in the single digits with windchills well below zero. Today it's already 60 degrees, supposed to be 65, and they are predicting severe thunderstorms with over 2 inches of rain possible. Wild stuff! 😵

Same kind of weather as last year when we got hit with big tornadoes... better start disaster planning.

Yep, Central IL here. 67 degrees for me. Then a low of 3 Thursday. 64 degree swing. Booo!

hope we dont have crazy weather again this spring. got lucky last year. funnel cloud swooped down right over our house and touched down a couple hundred yards away.

Yeah, cause there have never been warm spells during winters before. Ever. Not once in the history of the world.

After about 10 days or so of the daytime highs here not topping 25*F, bring on the warmth! People who like cold weather and blizzards are obviously children whose mommies and daddies pay their heating bills.

Here's the graphical representation of those numbers, and how widespread they are. It's warm air sucked up from the gulf ahead of the approaching cold front.

Last year was the single hottest calendar year for my area since temps were recorded. And it wasn't by a small amount, it was several degrees IIRC. That's somewhat significant. As others have said last year we had almost 2 weeks of 80 degrees in March. That's not good. Plants and trees come out of dormancy too early and then get rocked if a hard freeze hits again.

It's been some very odd weather here the last couple years.
