I don't think giving owners of certain hardware a better gameplay experience is admirable on the part of AMD or UbiSoft. Same thing goes for the new Splinter Cell game and shafting ATI owners with Shader Model 1.3.

I agree on both points although it would be interesting to see the framrate hit on a x86 system from the new FarCry eye candy; unfortunately, the marketing money keeps that from being a possibility. This sort of thing has been going on for a LONG time and won't change no matter how much we hate it.
