It isn't neccesary to wash your hands after peeing only after taking a #2. Urine is sterile and actually has antiseptic properties and your penis is much cleaner than your mouth if you bathe regularly unless you have been putting in places you shouldn't be.:Q

People should always wash their hands, even if they're just going to the bathroom to look at themself in the mirror. There's no telling what's been there or touched the handle or the knob at the sink.

Geez....I would say about half the people I see at school leave the bathroom without washing. It's disgusting! I never touch the door handles because of it.

In the food industry I have seen people handle food and paper money in the same transaction. I think bills are a major carrier of germs probably more so than a bathroom door handle.
It's kinda funny (when it's not my food) when you see a person at a sub shop make a sandwich with latex gloves on, take the money, give change, and then make another sandwich without changing gloves. I guess the gloves are there to keep your hands from getting dirty. :disgust:

Dude, I don't pee on my hands, so I don't wash them every time I go to the bathroom. And touching the skin around your p3n15 is just like rubbing or scratching your arm, etc. You expect people once they scratch their arm to wash their hands? You're insane. Germs are everywhere, deal with them.

Even if you don't urinate on your hands, touching your penis is nothing like touching your arm. It is so much dirtier down there than on your arm. Think of all the friction and sweat that is caused just by walking. Even if you believe that your penis is the pinnacle of cleanliness, its still a good idea to wash just because it gets rid of the germs that have accumulated over the day.

If you're worried about touching hte door handle on your way out, do what I do. When you dry your hands, keep the paper towel and use it to open the door. Then throw it away.

That's asinine. Next time you go to the bathroom, think of the guy who got lucky last night, contracted herpes, did his business in the bathroom, and left w/o washing his hands. Yah, go ahead, then scratch somewhere around your mouth, or better yet, wait until you go to the bathroom next.

Remote possibility? Probably. Fact of the matter is, it's still disgusting. Think of it like this....

Would you hold some guys package whilst he does his business? Would you wipe his arse for him? Doubtful, so wash your damn hands.

But yes, urine IS steril. (No I won't find a link for you 'cause you can do it yourself) BUT...urine IS an excellent breading ground for bacteria. Hence, if really wanted to you could ingest your own piss and be fine. Just don't let it sit out for very long. :Q

While I do agree that everyone should wash their hands after using the bathroom, sometimes I'm in a hurry. (Yes, that much of a hurry) And I'm not gonna wait in line to use the hand dryer or paper towels. (Besides, I think those cloth towels that are on big continuous rolls are pretty damn gross alot of the time anyway)

I don't urinate or defacate (sp?) on my hands and I assume you don't either. If, by some odd chance, a drop of my urine gets on my wrist and I feel it, I'll be sure to properly wash it. There's really no need to be paranoid.

If you think this is bad then consider how bad the ear pieces of public phones are. I know I don't use a que tip before I use a phone. Or the mouth pieces of pop cans: those cans have been touched by so many people during manufacturing and distribution it'll make your mind spin. Imagine how nasty it is everytime your brush your hand against some gum someone have left stuck to the underside of a table. Do you freak out and sterilze your hands when that happens to?

Here's another thought. Everytime you have sex you do realize that there's not an incredible amount space between the girl's vagina and anus right? By using underwear, especially thongs, she effectively bridges the gap between them. I know a few girls who have gotten kidneys infections because of using thongs on a regular basis. They wear a thong, do something active, sweat onlys aids in the travel of bacteria and other things. Now, remember, you're going to put your schlong into the area, maybe even do some cunnulingus? (sp?)

I'm just saying, if someone doesn't manage to wash his/her hands after using the bathroom, there's plenty other things just as bad, if not worse, that you subject yourself to everyday. So.......
