:(
I found out earlier today that my dog was put to sleep.....3 months ago!!
I moved to Georgia a year and a half ago so I hadnt' seen him since last Christmas. Apparently he had cancer that couldn't be treated. He was only 9 years old. :(

My parents couldn't work up the courage to tell me and the only reason they did was because my wife is flying back this Friday and staying with them for a night. My dad figured she'd notice Hoover was gone and he thought he'd tell me beforehand.

Poor Hoover. I've been a little depressed most of the day :(

I know someone will ask, he was a Lhaso Apso.

Awwwww :( I'm so sorry! One of my cats is almost 16. I can't imagine what I'll be like when she dies. :( They become one of the family and when they die, it can be really hard on you.

*HUG*

I also have dogs....two Schnauzers.

The same thing happened to me :(

I moved away to go to University and I had to leave my cat behind since my aunt that I moved in with has her own...

My cat was a pretty quiet complacent kinda guy much like me, and didn't much care for my brother who is rather louder than me, and always has a million friends over, so after I left Boots kinda jumped ship.

My mom didn't even tell me :(

I got home for some break or another, and went looking for my cat, and mom was like "Oh yeah...Boots ran away from 6 months ago".

Gee thanks for telling me :|

I feel for you dude, I literally cried for days when I found out boots was gone.
Hell it still makes me almost cry now just thinking about it.

God damn it I loved that cat.
He was like my best friend from grade 7 - 10 (that was a really hard phase of my life, with my dad's second marriage falling apart and a lot of other dumb stuff being done...)

Edit: Scratch that, am crying :(

Another dog hiding story from me:

I think I was about 6 and my sister was 9. We had this little mutt puppy that was chewing up everything in the house and generally causing havoc. My dad took him to the pound and my sister and I didn't notice for almost 2 weeks.

My dad's trick? He took him to the pound on Christmas eve. Think us youngin's noticed anything wrong on Christmas day????

Awww, I'm so sorry to hear that. :(

It's always hard to lose them, they become part of the family.

Your doggie is now chasing and bouncing over the Rainbow Bridge.

The same thing happened to me too! It was my cat and two of my dogs! A very sad time. I was away from home, but at least I knew about it before three months went by. Man! Sorry about that. I had a Lhaso Apso and a Sheltie. :(
