64 MB SmartMedia or CF

yeah its a decent deal
the mr flash cf card supposedly has problems with kodak cams so im thinking of going for the sandisk for 30
dunno though

Not to thread-crap, but I think more than one person has had problems w/ "Mr. Flash" CF cards with regards to speed.

--------------
When people thread-crap, why do they always start off with "Not to thread-crap, but..."?

<< Not to thread-crap, but I think more than one person has had problems w/ "Mr. Flash" CF cards with regards to speed.
and dont forget the complaints about mr.flash in PDA's. It drains like 50% more juice than regular cards.

(and where are the deals for CHEAP SD cards?)

i'd heard about the mr flash problems, but i ordered one anyway (128MB, i think $99?) for my Canon Powershot G2 and have no complaints, for anyone interested. i'd surmise that all Canon's would reacty similarly.

Edit: Dood (below) is right, mine was $4x or so. easily worth it, as my camera now can take over 100 1600x1200 pics on one card.

I just ordered a 128mb SM Mr. Flash for $47 delivered from Newegg.

I have a Canon Powershot A10 and bought a Mr. Flash 32mb Compact Flash card from NewEgg to use with it. I've had no problems with it and have seen no noticeable speed differences between that card and a Lexar 64mb card. It might have been something in the older Kodak cameras that was the problem.

I have both the Mr. Flash and the Viking CF cards. Both 256MB. Both are really fast with no noticeable difference in performance.

i've only heard of problems of mr w/ the NexII mp3 player.... but even that works now i think. what problems have you heard w/ it?
