6200 512MB

i didnt think this was real but i guess it is, isn't that a waste of a lot of ram? HA all you 7800GTX owners, that little 6200 has more ram, it'll run Doom 3 @ hi-settings

LMAO!

well, it is sort of stupid putting this much RAM on a card like this, but then again, I guess there are people stupid enough to buy it...

Yeah, wasn't this card mentioned in the Anandtech news or someone elses news as "Just because it makes it to the shelves, doesn't mean it was a good idea example"? 🙂

You know what would be cool? It would be cool if your system could use the memory on the video card that is free as regular ram.

I know its agp and that the 6200 dose not support sli.
about once a year Ill try to make a joke, never really works. 😱p

Yeah maybe someone could reverse engineer TurboCache. It would probably be fast too.

i dont think this is done with games in mind...lol....

more like business application, allows you to run a very large display for presentations etc and in a way that doesnt take ages for it to load up the screens etc....

It wouldnt really run Doom3 very well, it could load the full texture sets, but they wouldnt have the cexy effects as the 6200 doesnt handle the graphics stuff that a 6600 or 6800 can....and it would run like treacle...lol

smack 512 mb to a geforce 5200, and keep the price under 100, and people will buy it over the 128/256 mb versions, not to mention the 512 is running at 250 mhz as opposed to 400.
