I've heard that you can use higher wattages with any mac, so should i just get the 85w one? or does it not matter. i guess ill also be set incase i get a bigger mbp in the future.
The 45w that it comes with is physically a little smaller. The 85w may charge it a little faster. I use a variety of wattages with my 11" Air and don't notice any difference.
but why not get the 85w for the same price... im failing to see the disadvantage.
let me rephrase the question: both the same price..... 65w or 85w.....
For a MacBook Air, it doesn't matter. If you need to feel like you have to buy the 85w to get your money's worth, do it.
85W. Under full load I think the higher end Pros can pull more than even that at points.
My 15" MBP sometimes has the adapter turn from green to red when doing video encoding. The battery charge also dropped from 100% to 95% while being plugged in.
