i got my Arctic Cooling 5 rev2 today and installed it.... so i decided to start cranking my Sapphire GTO2 more than it was and i managed to get 535/605 out of it. i though ti would get more than that from the core but hey.... what can you do. its been unlocked and i had my cpu running at 1845 instead of 1800 but i got 6099..... its no an INSANE number but to have done any cpu oc'ing really i think its pretty damn good. any suggestions would be helpful :)

Looks great man, I just got my 3D Connect X800 GTO and am looking forward to some unlocking/ overclocking action! Also, your core speed does seem low, but remember you're only 5 MHz slower than an X850XT PE (540/590) so I'd be happy!

The GTO series seems to be pretty good.. If they're not unlockable they tend to be good for ocing. I'm getting 600/600 out of my Sapphire X800 GTO.

Nice score there. The CPU should be able to do a bit more on the overclock, there's some threads about it in the CPU forum sections.

I bought the Connect 3d GTO, unlocked the pipes to 16, tweeked the memory with ati tool. Got 6605 on 3d mark 05. Not to bad for a sub 150.00 dollar vid card.

I also got the Connect 3D card- waiting on getting the motherboard yet- does anyone know if the bois flash fails to unlock the pipes will the card still be usable at 12 pipes?? Or have you just ruined your video card?

Look at the techpowerup article - using ati tool you can see the fuse data before flashing the bios, so you can know ahead of time if it wont unlock. But either way, make a backup copy of the original bios. That way if the flash fails for any reason, you can flash the original bios and still have a working card.

Thanks munky, wasn't sure if you saw the right fuse data in the ati tool that it was pretty much 100% unlockable or not- now I know- also good to know you can revert back to the origanal bios if trouble with new one!

Edit- now keeping my fingers crossed on seeing the right fuse data come up.:)

i paid out the ass i know that. only reason my gpu clock is so low is because ATI tool starts detecting artifacts above 540... i got the mem up to about 613 w/ no problem

as for the cpu... i was just shooting for 6000 score so i didnt do much.... i know it can go WAY farther... im oldschool oc'ing my first computer that was all mine was a 133 Pentium that turned into a 233MMX w/ a 70MHz FSB... not bad for being 10 :)

by out the ass i mean 250 :(
