That's ok, because I give the motor a week being over-volted before burning out! 😛

But that kid is going to be a huge gearhead when he grows up. 🙂

i don't see "mad driving skill".
lets see him do that with rubber tires that actually have grip.

Hehe, let's see him do it in a real car! Oh wait, probably can't.. Too bad.

well good luck showing a 4-6yo this toy capable of 20-30mph or more and keeping it under lock and key.

It's one thing to build something like this for an older kid or adult, but not the smartest thing for little ones...funny how in most of the videos the accent is 'twangy'...

www.modifiedpowerwheels.com has a lot of writeups.

IMHO keeping the wheels plastics adds to the fun and minimizes the danger. A simple rubber band setup would work well on this though (not the type you use to wrap a newspaper).

Yeah, that thing will last about a week. That's if the kid doesn't get seriously hurt first. The father is an idiot for modifying one of those.

I know a guy who did that - his kids didn't get hurt but the motor didn't last very long. He put in a couple of small car batteries IIRC.

The tires are kinda expensive too, I've replaced a couple of sets for my kids' (normal) Power Wheels.
