If you actually watched the video instead of grabbing at the title for sensationalism, this thread would not exist.

There is no indication why the drug test was needed. The video starts after the fact that there is a search to be performed
There was no groping - the TSA agent specifically explained what she was doing and how / why.

Now if you watched the video without sound, then maybe your biases could be allowed.

Watching the vid with sound caused this thread to be locked as generating a false inflammatory title / trolling thread

I did not have a problem with the pat down. People do try and use their kids to carry stuff for them. But they were going to drug test her as well? That didn't make any sense and was over the top. Pat downs and security is part of travel. And that agent was very respectable and polite when doing the pat down.
 
Groping not found. Looks like the female TSA person did a good job explaining what she was doing to the child and didn't grope anything.
 
To play devil's advocate, if the TSA didn't search small children, then the terrorists would just put bombs on small children.

My opinion though? What the FUCK are these searches preventing? Nothing. They are not worth it. If terrorists want to get a bomb on a plane, they will find a way. So far they haven't been able to figure it out and the number of lives saved is not worth the compromises to our liberty.
 
Holy cow, its like you're living in a jail down there. That must suck.
Although its a very rich jail, with flashy cells and colorful people, so its worth it.
 
what? kids can't hide bombs on their person? why should they be spared the indignities we suffer? kids complain about everything. "I don't wanna do homework!" "I don't wanna go to grandma's!" "I don't wanna be groped by strangers!" whine whine whine.
 
What drug test are they talking about?

I'm against the TSA's ever reactive and generally ineffective screening procedures, but trying to be all super indignant about this video and claim molestation is an overreaction. The TSA agent was quite professional and allowed (actually asked) the mother to move to a better viewpoint so she could supervise. 404 groping not found.
