a major Subaru plant got hit hard in a hail storm earlier this year, which royally screwed them over

all cars were stuck for inspection for MONTHS before they could start sending them to dealers, my local dealer has pretty much every truck of cars he receives sold before it shows up.

the WRX on the lot for people to look at...is his. that's how low on stock he is

What type of gas mileage you seeing? I read somewhere it takes premium as well as regular which I thought was shocking for this segment

I always put premium. Manual says 89 is fine but there will be performance loss.

Mileage varies a lot. I average 24 with 50/50 lead food and coast. I can get up to 29-32 if I stay under 70 on highway.

My ms3 averaged 19.3.
Highway at most got me 28.

I wouldn't rule this car out just because of the fwd. The interior comforts compared to a Subaru are unmatched. The only car that beats the STs in the hot hatch segment is the GTI. That comes at a slightly higher premium as well.

Whats wrong with black?

And 2% of 25k is 500 bucks... is that whats holding you back from getting the car you want at a regular dealer?

2% below invoice for the WRX, The base model will get you to $25,448 and the limited $28,795. Retail prices are $27k for the base and $31k for the limited.

To me 1500 bucks price difference is a Cobb Accessport, tires, pads/fluid on the base. Even more savings with the limited pricing.

Considering I have to first of all wait for this car, let alone deal with limited supply (the car has been sold as a 2015 new model since May), I don't absolutely love this car enough to wait and am considering other cars in the price range and/or class of car.

The focus st is fully loaded and readily available for 22-23 OTD easy for me.

BMW 135/335i's with manuals would take some searching but are out there.

ATS meh I only considered it as on paper similar specs to the WRX with being more luxurious.

@Monkey - I think I am going to find a more affordable CTS-V than a G8 GXP :(

2015 is such a good year for cars...

Stage 2 modded performance from the previous years is how they come stock now in 2015. So what is the new Stage 2 performance going to be like? D:

I'm jealous you of 2015+ hot hatch owners. I'm going to have mod my '12 A3 when it comes out of warranty just to keep up!

Compared to your prior 2013... is the 2015 quieter/smoother?

Sorry did not mean to imply that I use to own one. Comment based purely on having seen the interior and exterior of the previous version. 2015 is a big step up in quality. Some people have complained that the exterior styling is a bit on the conservative side but I find that a plus.

2015 GTI? No idea on military discounts though, but should be enough inventory now to haggle a bit. It's really well put together. Stage 1 apr tune is kind of ridiculous.

Yeah the Mark 6 and 7 are beasts when tuned. I test drove a 4 door DSG trans and I felt the front end was too nose heavy for me and dove too much. Maybe things have changed... Idk

I'll give the mark 7 a test, get that free go pro for buying one LOL

The beauty of a used subaru is that I literally could drive this thing for roughly 3 years 30k miles and barely lose any money on it.

But yeah the cars I really want aren't good daily drivers so I gotta make a compromise on the daily. I am really just trying to get the most car for the money

I bought a 135i 'vert in a BMW fire sale a while back. All kinds of fun, but I hear you about needing four doors. The 1-series is pretty small.

But it's fast. :)
