I think it is harder for overweight people to finish those big burgers than thin people. If I was the restaurant owner, I would open up in a fat town. :) Thin people can make room to stretch out their stomachs, while overweight people have all that fat pushing against their stomach limiting its expansion.

If you watched Nathans hotdog eating contest, the top 3 were all skinny. Third place was Sonya Thomas at 105 pounds. All the big guys came in last.

Jeez no wonder americans are so fat! I wonder how long it takes to cook a burger of that size..

I went to Philadelphia (about 250 miles from this place) on business a few times around 2000 and what most impressed me was how fat so many of the people were. The proportion of very fat people was much, much greater than where I live - the S.F. Bay Area. This 6 lb. burger thing wouldn't go over around here, folks.

Edit: Notice, though, I don't put it down. "The road of excess leads to the palace of wisdom," in the words of William Blake. Hahahahahaha!

I've seen my friend tried to do 72 oz of steak and fail, I've never seen so much meat on a giant plate. it was disgusting, but he still got to put his picture on the loser's wall.

I'm going right past this place on a trip this weekend. If I can just talk my GF into letting me go I'll give it a shot.

There was/is a restaurant around Madison Wi that had a 5-lb steak deal, eat it all in 1 hour and it's free, otherwise $54.99 or something.
A guy from the newspaper tried it and wrote an article about it. He puked. It was lovely reading.

That is one huge burger. My laptop (ThinkPad T41) is only 5 lb. That hamburger is as heavy as my laptop plus an extra battery. I won't even be able to lift it, let alone eating it.

id' try it if they let me hold the pickels. I'd starve myself for 2 days and have acouple hot cups of tomato soup the night before to stretch it out. Be worth a shot, as long as it didn't give me a heart attack. Three hours is enough time for my stomach.

I have a friend who works at burger king who shomwed me how you can add extra patties, and i abuse the trainees while i'm on the road to see if they can find the "extra patty" button. Yes you can add whopper patties. I used to get a double sourdough burger, with extra bacon and cheese, now that was a burger!

Anyways, my friend told me that a guy came in one night and ordered a whopper with 6 patties! The manager told him that is he ate it there in front of them they would refund every penny of the guys money. And he did it! I guess his eyes were watering like crazy and he could barely move.

I do not understand why a restaurant would offer a 6-lb. burger. Most people would not finish it. Most likely the food is going to be wasted, unless you want to bring it home and have an old burger with juice-soaked bun for the next couple of meals. You have to be persistent to not waste any food.

At the same time, there are millions, if not billions, of hungry people all over the world. Why waste food like this?
There's more than enough food to go around, it's just that there isn't any way to get it to them. Now get off your high horse.

The meat & veggie portion seem Atkins friendly but 2 lbs of bun would probably force me into a diabetic coma.... but without the bun.... I'D OWN THIS DEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
