No offense but you could include "PA" in the title so....

edit: Or put in "Brag & Moan" if that is you in the photos ;).

I went into my local Carls Jr. yesterday and noticed a 1 lb. burger for $6. Did a double take. My reaction is, why would you want to eat a 1 lb. burger? Even a 1/2 pounder seems a little toooo excessive if you're watching your weight and/or cholesterol. I was very pleased with my Spicy Chicken sandwich. It's way cheaper, too, at $1.25.

Hey, I saw that place on the Simpsons. Unfortunately, the trucker died and Homer had to...

I went to Philadelphia (about 250 miles from this place) on business a few times around 2000 and what most impressed me was how fat so many of the people were. The proportion of very fat people was much, much greater than where I live - the S.F. Bay Area. This 6 lb. burger thing wouldn't go over around here, folks.

Edit: Notice, though, I don't put it down. "The road of excess leads to the palace of wisdom," in the words of William Blake. Hahahahahaha!

Big Ed's makes burgers that are bigger than pizzas with fries that cover a TRAY and a large drink... 20 something dollars but free if you eat it all... alone in one hour... I've seen it happen on a few occasions... Big Ed weighted about 450 - 550 pounds

Hey, I think there are larger pizzas than what you have seen. I should know, I like pizza.

alright... well this burger is 24" in diamater..... and it is 6"-7" tall.. it has 8-16 burger patties depending on whether you want dbl meat or not

the fries cover a tray by themselves and the drink is huge but still not big enough to wash all this junk down

I do not understand why a restaurant would offer a 6-lb. burger. Most people would not finish it. Most likely the food is going to be wasted, unless you want to bring it home and have an old burger with juice-soaked bun for the next couple of meals. You have to be persistent to not waste any food.

At the same time, there are millions, if not billions, of hungry people all over the world. Why waste food like this?

"weighing in at NINE lip-smacking pounds!" It's 6 pound of meat pre-cooked, some of the fat and oils come out of it during cooking but it's still a lot of burger when it's all said an done.

A local Fudruckers (burger resturant) in my area had a 2 pound burger challenge if you ate it they put your picture up on the wall of the place. I went there with some friends to do it but they no longer had 2 pound patties, so I had to order two 1lbs burgers. I didn't put them together so there would be 2 pounds of meat on one burger, instead I ate it as 2 full burgers (and yes they were LOADED with toppings, my friends made sure it was all legit). Anyways I ate them in under 12 minutes, I finished the first burger in under 2 but it took me almost 10 minutes to finish the last one. HOwever I did finish my 2 orders of fries (they come with each burger), and just to show off the I ate the last 3rd of my friend's burger. I can't say I was feeling good enough to run a mile afterwards but it wasn't that bad. I'm just upset b/c they ended the challenge so I didn't get to have my picture on the wall

Talk about a heat attack. I have seen free 72oz steak deals but this is 96oz of beef and all the other stuff.
