6 cell battery life

My Gateway mx322b's 6 cell battery only last about 2.5 hours. Is this normal? How long does everyone else's 6 cell battery last?
 
Specs for your system?

It's pretty normal, 6-cells of ~50Wh capacity usually only power 14-15" laptops for about 3 hours. If you got something more power hungry like a faster video card or a less efficient CPU (Celeron M, mobile Athlons) than 2.5 hours is normal
 
In my experience, that is about average for a relatively new 6 cell. Over time, that number will shrink.
 
Yes that sounds about right for that kind of system. Remember that Celeron M does not offer SpeedStep capabilities so it runs full speed at all times and does not clock down to save on power.
