He's completely right. A lot of people, like me, upgraded from our 510/518 to another 510/518 just because logitech screwed up and decided to delete one button. They fixed it on the revised G5 and will hopefully fix it on the G3. I bought a total of 4 518's of which 2 or 3 would have been G3/5 if they had both forward and backwards buttons.

The G3 has a forward and back button. I have it and it's not that big of a deal to not have both the buttons on the same side.

The G3 is not the same type of mouse as the G5 or the MX518.

I just upgraded to the G5 with one side button and I miss my old intelli-mouse optical with two side buttons, one on each side. It's actually quite easy to get used to using your pinky or ring finger to hit the right side button and easier than having two on one side.

This is a good deal on a good mouse, I would go for it if I was not so determined to try and love my G5.
