It's deceptive. The core clock speed is no where near 3.4GHz. It's like saying I have DDR800- Dual Channel DDR400 Two Ram Sticks each have 400MHz x 2 = 800MHz.
Another example is, I sell you two honda civics as a pair with speedometers that top out at 85MPH and I advertise them as having a top speed of 170MPH.
