It's deceptive. The core clock speed is no where near 3.4GHz. It's like saying I have DDR800- Dual Channel DDR400 Two Ram Sticks each have 400MHz x 2 = 800MHz.

Another example is, I sell you two honda civics as a pair with speedometers that top out at 85MPH and I advertise them as having a top speed of 170MPH.

well.. he did mention 3.4ghz dual core... he's just slightly smarter than the idiots bidding for the 6.8ghz CPU...

well.. he did mention 3.4ghz dual core... he's just slightly smarter than the idiots bidding for the 6.8ghz CPU...


It's still a lie, both CPU's are operating on a common timiming mechanism and share the same bus multiplier.

...but the OP's got a point :p. 3.4 PentiumD is nowhere near 6.8GHz... i'd say it's closer to 4.8 :p

Even Intel does not list any of their parts to run at 6.8GHz. Talk about a shady buisness, where is this "honest john" going to be when you need warrenty support? He's going to pack up and run then when asked to for service say "We never did buisness, who are you?"
