5v rail going nuts on Antec TruControl 550

Had me concerned there for a minute.. 😛 My TruControl 550 has been rock steady since day one. 🙂 5.05-5.07 on the 5V rail..

That's what I was wondering too. If you have Cool 'n Quiet enabled, and your CPU fan is also a variable-speed one (either thermally-regulated or having a manual adjuster), then your fan might be getting a doubly-reduced voltage that it simply can't keep running on. 60% of 50% of 12V? No.

The BIOS for this mobo is less than well layed out... I don't see anything about cool 'n' quiet in the bios but there is a smart fan control which I have disabled. The hsf fan did come with a manual adjuster but when this first started happening it was the first thing I removed but the issue continued despite the adjuster being removed. I honestly have no idea why it happens, I really don't like this board. For one, You have to use a secret key combo (not-so-secret, but not there by default) of Ctrl-F1 to even get to advanced options (fsb, etc.) Then if I set my memory manually to 200Mhz fsb (corsair xms pc3200) it still runs at 166 and if I go back into the bios after setting it to 200...it's set right back to "auto" and running at 166. Yes, running the newest bios and this happens on all other bios revisions I've used. I'll be buying my new board on monday...question is, do I go Asus K8N-E Deluxe, DFI Lanparty UT3 250gb, or wait for the Abit NF8 that was just announced.
