5th wheel remodel

I started on the remodel a little earlier than planned. We are going east of the mountains for the weekend, and the forecast is great for trailer towing across the pass.

It *had* a couple of little one drawer night stands and a platform for an RV queen mattress. That's all gone now, I picked up a couple sheets of 14 MM BB ply and made a full king size platform and picked up a mattress yesterday.

King size plus flannel sheets plus heated mattress pad = happy life!

What it looked like before, not my pic.

Little nightstands hammered out, new platform in.

I retained the lift cylinders and re-used the hinges for the storage area.

It's a brave new world. Rolled up innersrping mattresses, who knew?

King size mattress, coming back to life after being a burrito.

Lay on it in 3 hours, fully restored in 48.

The rest of the project is more involved. I am tearing out the bathroom, installing a different shower, removing walls, stealing some space from the main room. Moving the turlet.
