I have a Gainward 5900nu. Driver version 52.70 with coolbits reg hack.

This didn't happen on my old machine that I remember, but on my new machine with a fresh install of XP the memory clock keeps getting set back to default when I reboot. The GPU clock stays put.

And yes, I did click "apply settings at start up."

Any clues as to why this is hppeneing and how to fix it?

Sorry if I sound kind of out of it, but does nvidia pack an overclocking tool with their drivers?? If so, make sure your ram is 100%stable. The only reason I could think of is that the ram isn't 100 stable, and resets itself. Same happens with my 9800.

At the current setting, I am stable with both 3DMarks, Aquamark and all my games 100% with no artifacts or complications.

Well, I was hoping to wait a bit on those and see what the general consensus is on how those work and what issues they may have. They are a little fresh for my taste.

And besides this clock resetting issue, the 52.70s are working flawlessly in all my games.

you need to adjust the memory speed from "2d mode" the first time.
after that it will also work in 3d mode.

its a BUG

Hey now, I look here quite often and I've never seen this issue.

But thank you for the heads up. I will try that.

For the record, the FW 53.03 drivers are pretty good. They have done well on my GF4 Ti 4800SE. I wish I had a 5900 to try them out on. :)
