Not too terrible as many cheaper (and even some expensive) power supplies are rated at 25ºC for their "rated" wattage even though most PSUs get much hotter. These PSUs do have two rather noisy 80mm fans in push/pull configuration to keep them cool running. Well, noisy if you're into "quiet" computing. Their PCI-E 6 pin plug is actually an adaptor that comes with the PSU. Also, because of their dual fans, this PSU is a bit deeper than the normal 140mm depth.
IMO HEC PSUs are a step above the really crappy PSUs so if you just need something for a budget system that won't blow up on you, then this will work okay. Don't expect to run an overclocked quad core with dual 8800GTX on this though.
