Seems like a decent deal considering I bought the same RAM the last time RAM was cheap (almost a year ago) for 65 bucks. That, however, required two brandsforless rebates and a kingston rebate.

According to egghead (and other sites) it rates cas2 at pc100. I have heard stories of cas2 at 133, but I wouldn't bet on that performance. It has 8ns RAM according to its posting at NECX.com, so I wouldn't expect too much overclocking/overspec'ing success.

If anybody knows of any egghead coupons or whether egghead is included in any e*bates type programs, please post so. Thanks.

does anyone know if you can pricematch this with staples or do they just give you the price before rebate?
 
Good idea on staples since it's an egghead only rebate. Definitely worth a shot if you think you can get a friendly csr on the phone. Then it would be 57.99 - 20 = 37.99 + staples shipping (though they may include the 6.75 egghead shipping too). Almost 3 megs/dollar if that would work... I remember when they used to measure it in dollars/meg.

Check this out: it's 100.99 at staples. Pricematch it down to 77.99 that they have at egghead. Then pull out the old 25 off 75 coupon for staples (you know where to look). Then you have it for 52.99 + shipping without the rebate hassle. Wait... never mind that is the pny RAM. Can somebody try and find Kingston Value Ram 128mb on Staples? It might not even be there.

Well I got my RAM and its working fine. YES u can PM at staples. You can PM with Egghead or buy.com. Buy.com has $5 shipping while egghead has $6.95 so when u add the final price is around $85. Use $ 25 off coupon to get ur final price.

I was lucky as the CSR after saying she would $5 for shipping forgot.

FInal price $59.62. I think thats great.

Well I do not think so as the rebate is offered by egghead and not by kingston.

BTW, if any one u do have bought from egghead. please do e-mail me a copy of receipt so that I can use that for the rebate.
 
I've received two Kingston RAM rebates for purchases within the past 6 months. They are handled by the rebate company that mails checks out of Arizona IIRC. It took about an average length of time for the check to arrive.. around 7-8 weeks I think.
 
Egghead really really sucks... look at thier resellerratings stuff... Ive been screwed over so many times by onsale/egghead its stupid. I will never shop there again.

I was suprised nobody jumped on this deal... especially with Kingston's habit of shipping ValueRAM with infineon chips. I'm kind of wishing I got in on it instead of waiting for the next pc133 cas2 bargain.
