56K - data compression software

I'm trying to find some decent software to increase the speed on my 56K connection.. I'm in the mountains and am trying to get my games to run a bit better online.

I know that there are a lot of different products out there, but I was looking for some first hand knowledge or recommendations.

Thank you for your input.

Frankly there is nothing you can outside of getting a better conection.

There are data compression software you can get like that new NetZero thing, but that just makes websites faster becuase they are just big text files and benifit from it. Nothing else would.

But even if you had faster dialup your ping would be the same and ping is more important then bandwidth in games.

Sattlite isn't even an option because the sheer distance the signal travels makes for ping ~400ms. Wireless might do it if you can get it.
