560ti temps

Hey all

I currently have a 560ti that I was thinking of overclocking. At stock I was benching it in furmark and it topped out at 72 degrees C. Is that alot? What are safe temps to stay around when I actually try overclocking?

Thanks

72C is quite low. What model do you have and what is your fan setting?

If you'd like to overclock, just set your fans to maximum temporarily. Then start bumping up the core clock. Anywhere up to about 80C is fine for long-term use. In fact, higher would be ok too, but you probably want to bring down the fan rpm once you settle in on a stable clock.

And use a program like MSI Afterburner to monitor all of this data.

I have an asus 560ti dcii top something or other. I am using afterburner but I just have the fan settings on auto

You have plenty of headroom - that card has a good cooler on it. Just experiment using Afterburner by pushing the core clock up at 25MHz at a time, testing each setting with a few games and/or benchmarks (Unigine Heaven 3.0 is a good stability test).
