Hi!

I'm looking for the passive (fanless) low profile 5570 video card. I can’t find any ready product. All have 1-slot cooler with small fan.
There is a possibility for fanless operation for sure. Do you have any experience with that?

Can you suggest any kind of aftermarket heatsink? I can use 2-slot or 3-slot version.

Thanks a lot in advance and best regards

You really don't need to go fanless for a very quiet setup.

Check out an aftermarket graphics card cooler like the Arctic Cooling Accelero L2 Pro, they only run about $20 and are virtually silent on the 900 rpm fan setting. This opens up your options for a better graphics card like a 5670 or 5770 if you want to do some gaming.

Thanks for the info :).

The problem is, as I wrote before, I can use LOW PROFILE CARD ONLY! I have small HTPC case (Antec Micro Fusion 350).

So, the fastest ATI low profile card is 5570 until now.

That is great cooling. But this 5570 is a budget GPU, not meant for gaming. The cooling rocks, but the card itself is a cheap non gaming card, if your serious about gaming... try the 5770 card.

That must have slipped my mind halfway through typing up my post. :)

Even low profile cards like the 5570 have a normal height bracket … 5570 so unless the case has clearance problems it's possible a normal height card might fit. Are you sure a normal height graphics card won't fit? Some of the longer cards might be a problem, but the new non-reference 5770's are shorter AFAIK. Do you have a card hanging around to test?

Yes, the standard bracket is the normal profile but most of the 5570 cards available, have additional low profile brackets in the box too. Look at Asus, Saphire and HIS solutions:

Yes. I'm sure. Look at the specification and some picures:

There is!!! I found the first low profile and fanless 5570.
:D

HIS HD 5570 Silence

They have 2 versions: with 1600 and 1334 memory clock.

Looks like the heatsink is one-slot and it's not so big - almost like in the 5450 (I expected 2-slot heatsink). Is it enough? What about temperatures?

Maybe somebody has any experience with this card already?

It's a budget GPU, but it still can games pretty well. Sans AA/AF, it will still run just about every game on medium-high and still be very playable. It has 400SP and a decent 128-bit DDR3 memory bus. Its as fast or faster than a 4670 and the 4670 is more or less a 3870 class GPU.

I know this thread is old but I found it thru google so it might be useful for others to know that the Accelero L2 Pro fit's just fine on my low profile 5570. Running it fanless on my HTPC
