Microcenter has got to be getting new models or something and hurting to move these old ones. They've been having a ton of deals lately on large TVs.

For LG, the 5700 series is out, so maybe they're just unloading the 5400s? Also, their pricing is weird. They have the 55" for $499, the 47" for $479, and the 50" is $999. WTF? Anyway, I'm not complaining...this may be a perfect gift if the deal is still alive on Saturday and my MC still has stock then.

Yeh i'd wait for the next series , Are you sure the 50'' one is not 3d smart tv?

Anyone in Boston wanna pick one up for me? I'll come get it from you after the snow lets up!! 🙂

ugh, I hate being 90 miles away from the nearest MC

The point is to get the deal on the 5400 series now. And there's nothing to wait for, the 5700 series is already on sale, just not as discounted. And all three (47, 50, 55) are the 5400 series. They must have an excess of 55s.

its good until 12/20

I hate being 20 miles away, because there is always a ton of traffic. =(

I wish there was one in the burbs near me. Thankfully, BestBuy is pretty good about price matching in store MC deals.

At least they are pretty good. It's been years since I went to Best Buy to get anything. Back then price matching wasnt their strong suit, they were still fighting the interwebz.

Any idea on how this would compare to a Vizio E500i-a1 for image quality? I'm half tempted to buy this and compare it to the Vizio I already have then re-sell the loser.
