5400 vs 7200

How much slower is 5400rpm drives ve 7200 ?
Would i notice a huge diff.

That's a very general question, and it depends on the model, interface, and brand of the drive, along with the size, number of platters, and density of those platters.

Short answer, 1800 revolutions per minute and possibly.

get a 7200.. they're practically the same price of a 5400 drive..

my maxtor 80gb is $1 per gb.
