533 FSB in a laptop?

I know nothing about laptops. But if this machine runs a 533 FSB why do the use PC2100 in it?

PC2100 runs at 133Mhz (DDR, so it's actually 266MHz). So it runs in sync. with the CPU...


BTW, it uses desktop CPUs, not a P4-M.

One of the hottest I know of now is the Winbook J4, model 732. It runs a P4 (not mobile) at 2 GHz on a 400 FSB.

That's what I was wondering. It has a FSB of 533 but uses PC2100 at 266 (133 DDR). It seems they would run faster RAM. But it's a desktop CPU, I guess there is no laptop 533 RAM?

The FSB on a pent4 is quad pumped, so 133mhz FSB * 4 = 533Mhz.

Thanks all this RAM talk has me confused.
PC2100 = 133 DDR = 266
RD1066 = 533 DDR
etc.....
I am still stymied by AMD and 2200+ = 1.8 and all that nonsense.
The lappy looks like a nice rig. My brother has a desktop and a Dell laptop. He brings over his laptop to game on my LAN. It runs really well.

The laptop is pretty nice, but it uses a desktop processor instead of a mobile processor. This pretty much means that there is little battery like and it gets hot (so don't put it on your lap).

The company that makes that laptop, sager, actually makes a great product. For about $1800 you can get a pretty decked out system, the only drawback being it is rather heavy (9 lbs). The battery life isn't THAT bad; with a dual battery setup you can get about 4 hrs of life. If you guys are interested pctorque has the best prices i've seen on sagers.
