5300 vs 4200

I have a dell Inspiron 9300, I've read a few memory articles and they suggested 4200 more for pentium M laptops... while 5300 is preferably for duo core cpu.

I am just wondering if 5300 makes a significant difference compared to the 4200 because price wise it is only a difference of 5-10 bucks... My laptop does support both.
