Well, I ordered a eVGA Geforce 5200 Ultra last week. I got it brand new on Ebay for $70 including shipping. I figured at that price, I couldn't really pass it up. Last night I put it in my computer, and installed the latest drivers from NVidia. I downloaded some benchmarking tools, and here are some results:
3D Mark 2003: 1692

3D Mark 2001: 7742

That's without me doing any overclocking or anything to the card. Not too great.
The board came with Ghost Recon, so I installed that and fired it up. I turned all the settings on high, and I did get some low fps on some of the terrains. I was a little disappointed. However, when I messed with the setting a little bit, I was able to get the game to run pretty quick and it looked really good.
I fired up Neverwinter Nights and cranked up all the detail there. Was able to run at 1024x768 with no problems, and the game looked really good.
I'm also beta testing the MMORPG Horizons. I loaded it up, and it ran pretty smooth, and looked very nice.
Anyways, just wanted to post this because I was really on the fence about this card. I originally started out hoping to find a card for about $75. I looked at the GeforceFX 5200 and was thinking about the Ti4200 64MB card. When I found this card, I was thinking that it would be close with the 4200 or even the 4400, but it doesn't look like it's going to be. It just doesn't have the power to get things rendered. In 3D Mark 2003, all the tests looked absolutely stunning, but in the Nature test, I was down to like 6 fps...
Anyways, if anyone reads this and wants my opinion, I would suggest getting a 4200. For $100, a 4200 is well worth it I think (my friend has one and has a nearly identical setup as I do, thats what I base the comparison on).
I know this might not be news to anyone, but I was thinking that most of the people that were against the 5200 were that way because it was new and some people fear change. But, after a little research and first glances, I'm not terribly impressed. However, I do think it was worth $70, but definately not worth more than $100.
If anyone has any request for benchmarks or anything, I'll be happy to run them and share. I know there are more gamers on tight budgets out there than just me.
