51degrees on 3gig p4 ic-7 normal?

Whats your mobo temp.

I have the same setup.

My mobo temp is 27C and the CPU temp is 37C at idle.

Flash the bios to the most recent version. That helps too.

5-10C normally close to 5...

However, he still hasn't give enough specs to really give a definite answer...

tests have shown that the temps in the older bios are actually much more accurate

Are those idle or stress temps? At stress that's fine, at idle, well, it'd depend on what your stress goes to. Download Prime95 from the sticky, run it for a while on the torture test, and report back what your temps are.
