Found this and it seems to be about 20-30 cheaper than yesterday....hot deal for me since I was about to buy 256 for $85

Its also the cheapest on pricewatch.

(First hot deal post, hopefully this at least warm...)

nice price! guess I should stock up on a couple of these for my next system later this year. Asus is supposed to have a nice new 333 board w/ usb 2.0 out now. couple those with the new thoroughbred coming soon... yum.

I have 2 sticks of this very stuff (got it from SVC about 2 weeks ago) running at 150+FSB with no problems at all.

This is nice quality stuff.

Have you been able to run it as CAS 2? If so, what's your m/b?

this seems like a great deal... i got 2x256 Mushkin for 210 bucks... samsung is definitely one of the best, if not right under mushkin.

omg I just ordered this exact product from newegg like 2 days ago. It says it's packed but not shipped... I'm gonna email customer service and tell em to give me the difference. It was $152 on the 26th. Hopefully they will and they don't make me send it back and re-order or something...

Ordered it, and very unhappy with shipping... ordered it monday around 3pm my time, which is noon their time. at around the same time i ordered a processor from newegg, and motherboard from mwave. I chose to have all 3 products shipped 2day fedex. the processor and motherboard are sitting on my desk right now, they shipped out early tuesday. The RAM from googlegear is "held in sort facility" in Indianapolis. I paid $16 for 2 day shipping on this 4 ounce product (which is ridiculous, priority mail would have been < $4 and same amount of time).

I figured that if I was paying $16 for 2 day shipping (which I assume included any "handling" fees) they would have got off their asses to get it to me... now i'm stuck waiting another day before I can put my new rig together, and to top it off i work 8-5 then 6-10 tomorrow, so i have no time to put it together!!!

what do u guys think about CL2.5? hehe... for $135... i'm not complaining 😛 btw, does googlegear rape u on shipping for these dimms?

EDIT: oh do they EVER rape u... $11 for ground... $17 for fedex 2nd day... $30 for fedex overnite. man... just put a stamp on mine and mail it to me first class 🙁

This memory is down to $132 at googlegear. Any of you ECS K7S5a users tried this memory yet in your system?
Rgrds.

i hate when that happens, sort of happened to me two weeks ago, ordered stuff from newegg, mwave, and z-buy (in new jersey). i'm in california, so i expected the newegg and mwave stuff to come first, especially since i had newegg send it two-day express. i ordered it on tuesday night, and guess who's stuff arrives first (and who i paid the cheapest shipping for) on the thursday, z-buy! so i had the cpu without everything else.

It is now $132.

Do I need a Kt333 board for this to work at it's full potential?

Right now I have an 8K7A(AMD 760), if I use this 2700 in my system in place of what I have now(PC2100), will I see any difference, besides the benefits of having 512MB over 256?

basically, what is the benefit of PC2700 in a non-Kt333 system?

NOTHING...unless you want to run your system at 166fsb (if your components can handle it)

Just got this stuff from GoogleGear yesterday. I actually got it for $133 a couple days ago. Right now I have 2 sticks of it running in my EPoX 8K3A+ (KT333) @ 175mhz at the highest memory settings.

This stuff is good.

Also...Googlegear advertises 6ns but it's actually 5ns memory!!

$137.65 + about 11 bucks shipping, but there's no sales tax if you choose to not have insurance on the shipping, and there's also an option to pick it up at their Southern California store. For SoCal people (like me) it might be worth the drive out there to save the $20 bucks on shipping and tax. Not trying to thread crap. Good post Autolycus. 🙂
