512mb PC2700 samsung stick any good? (nt)

I have this in my machine on a overclocked XP 2000+ and I have the memory timmings jacked up and this stuff works great, it is the best memory out there for the price and it should do anything you ask of it.

A lot of peeps here and at Hard and Overclockers seem to like this RAM. I'm using the Corsair 512Mb sticks which use Samsung chips and I'm very happy.

Use the "search" feature, my son.

samsung original is arguably as good as crucial.. and made in the same manner, as samsung makes the chips and the PCB just like micron makes the chips and the PCB, and just sells it under the crucial brand...

DO NOT buy Samsung memory from googlegear.com

It uses Samsung chips but its not samsung PCB.

Its POS 🙁

one chip i have does 170MHZ CAS 2 which is ok i guess. But wont do 178 at all. Other stick wont even do 166mhz at cas 2. It has to be 2.5.

If your going to buy samsung buy it from newegg.com if u want 512mb sticks look soem where else and make sure its truely 100% samsung made 🙂

damn, i just got a googlegear samsung memory module, i also noticed that it doesnt have a samsung made PCB, im trying to get a replacement because of false advertising, true samsung, my a$$

1 X 512 = 0 computing if a stick is/goes bad.

2 x 256 = 🙂 while waiting for replacement if a stick is/goes bad.

i just got a 512mb stick of pc2700 from tcwo for 149. it didn't say it was samsung but it is =)
i have a 1.6a overclocked to 2.66Ghz running the memory at 166 or 333ddr. works as advertised!

By the way, how can you tell if it's Samsung on a Samsung PCB or not? (Sorry haven't seen one yet)

Thanks for the replies !

Let me just say I have 1 stick of 512mb Samsung PC2700 DDR and I'm running it at 400Mhz DDR @ 2.8v, turbo, 2.5, 2, 2, 2. Do I care if it's original Samsung? Hell no! But, I will check if they are...eventually.
