hi there everyone
i have a quick question:_)

i just got a computer together, i have a 512 MB pc 2100 samsung memory stick that i run @ 333MHZ when setting it up on the bios
now when i add a 256 MB samsung 2700 , it show 767 MB running @ 333MHZ
is there any reason for that? how can i run everything @ 333 MHZ??

any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

thank you

You're fine. All the memory is running at the same speed there. The fact it says 767Mb instead of 768 is just The Way Things Are with some boards.

I've been able to run my PNY PC2100 RAM at 333 Mhz CAS 2.5 with no trouble. But I found more performance by running it at 266 Mhz CAS2. At 333 and CAS 2 it's unstable.

He is right, the amount of memory that Windows states is just an aproximation. Unless you are showing a big difference just ignore it.
