Anyone get an email confirmation after ordering from this place? I saved the HTML confirmation when I ordered, I just hope the order goes through without getting an OOS email. :)

Somebody with a little more brains than me needs to explain the RAM situation in a standard post, then just copy/paste to every one of these threads :)

Micron != Crucial

Micron or Samsung on a generic PCB may not be a good thing.

There are only X RAM Chip manufacturers....

Timings, CAS, CL means this

Heatspreaders are generally only to keep the RAM Chip details hidden

Etc.

Now it's 52.50

Lowest shipping is $6.50

Tax to California is $4.33

$63 is a good deal but I think I'll wait to see if prices can drop any more. MORE!!!! :D:cool:

We don't have to wait weeks for prices to drop, this site does it in hours.

Good luck

I'm a bit confused when it comes to "micron" memory.

Micron memory uses an OEM pcboard and sometimes doesn't even use micron branded chips. Does anyone know the pcb brand and what kind of chips these use?

Thats sounds stupid. Heatspreaders cost money. If memory is being sold for "rock-bottom" prices, you can't expect it to be the best. "OMG! cheap DDR2100. You guys think it will do 220MHz?" Um, no. They may not be THE most effective way to remove heat off the memory chips, but unless they are on some "high-end" labeled ram (like pc3200 or so) that is being sold for a cheapo price by some flybynite... Why worry about them?

Deal turned cold for me. Got my 512MB PC2100 stick today. My board wouldn't POST with it even though it POSTs with my other memory. Their website says they charge a 15% restocking fee even if the product is DOA! Who does that..I mean really..

Latest market news on SDRAM and DDR-RAM prices :)

This week, to be honest, there is not much story to tell or weekly/short-term market information. Prices are trading down for both SDRAM and DDR this week because we don't see demand coming yet. It will be hard without positive market sentiment to help DRAM makers or marketers to maintain prices. The short-term orders which came from the US/Europe seeking SDRAM have already been filled and we are seeing no new rush orders from those areas yet. Originally, Feb and March should be the hot season for Mainland China to refill/replenish orders after Chinese New Year; but so far the most anticipative market has disappointed most of us in terms of its IT expenditures.

Spot Price:

DDR

128Mb 266MHz USD/CHP 1.60-1.90 n/c-down
256Mb 266MHz USD/CHP 2.80-3.20 down-down
256Mb 333MHz USD/CHP 3.20-3.65 down-down
