I bought the Centon 512MB DDR on May 27 for $20 after $60 in rebates from CC and Centon. Got both rebates back last month. These were sold as PC2100 but mine was identified as Elixir PC2700 chip. The chip went bad last week on my Dell 4400, which uses PC2100 chips. Had random crashes in Win XP daily. I finally remembered to turn off "Quick Boot" in the bios and during memory check, it would stop around byte 25M. Switched chip to different slot and same thing happended but my other 2 sticks of Crucial 256M had no problems. Used DocMem to check and showed problem at 25M also.
Checking Centon website, it has lifetime warranty on chips but it said they don't accept returns directly if not purchased from them directly. I don't think CC is going to take it back after 30 days, so I emailed Centon to see how I am supposed to return/exchange this
