I couldn't find a post like this on Anandtech so I figure nobody knows about this yet. I had some experience with these memory before and on the occassion, KByte memory do come with Micron chipset as well as others if you are lucky .. some of the time you'll get chipsets like Elixir, etc.

Do you guys think this is a WARM DEAL or a COLD one?

Spoke to Officemax.com and found out that this is available only at the Officemax Store near you.

Does the OfficeMax B&M take their own website's online coupons if we print it out? If they can, there are a few FAR items available posted here plus a $25 off $100 you can find on the Internet. Does anyone know?

Correct, just confirmed with OfficeMax.com Customer Service that the item listed is a special available to the local B&M only. However, if the local B&M do take their own website's online coupons (if we print them out) and we are able to get the FAR items posted here to bring total over $100, there is a $25 off $100 coupon I found on the Internet.

PM me if you guys still want that $25 off $100 link and want to try your luck at the stores.

Here is what I would do:

1. Order the 256MB + 128MB modules, fill up to $100 and use the $25 off $100.
2. Go to the local OM store, and do a direct exchange of the 256MB stick for the 512MB stick (they're the same price).

Voila, a 128MB + 512MB sticks for $25 after rebate plus taxes on the $75 before rebate price.
